The Branch Area Food Pantry is 100% staffed by volunteers who donated over 11,800 hours to the Pantry in 2019. Volunteers are always needed and always welcome throughout the year
Volunteer Opportunities--Note: volunteer opportunities have changed due to the pandemic. At this time we are forced to limit the number of volunteers at the site. We will be posting when we need additional help.
We are in need of an individual who would be interested in helping with a Fall publicity mailing. Some computer skills needed, would work in conjunction with office staff. Interested? Contact Renate at the Pantry.
Mondays mornings only: Receiving, sorting, storing food coming in from community sources.
Tuesday-Thursday mornings: Cleaning, sorting, stocking shelves, receiving food deliveries, picking up food from area sources, trash and recycling, computer data entry.
Tuesday-Thursday afternoons: Escorting clients through the Pantry process, restocking shelves, computer data entry.
Special events: Sorting food received from food drives, helping with fundraising events, holiday distribution, gleaning fields and more.
Volunteers work as much as they choose, from a few hours a month to many hours every week.
Volunteers complete an attached application or apply in person at the Pantry, Monday-Thursday, to match their interests and skills with Pantry needs.
